Hi, cakewalk people

In Cakewalk Pro 9, after having laid down a track with the session drummer (i.e defined the drum track in the drummer and then pressed the FX button in the console), when I adjust the volume or the pan in the console - the sliders move but nothing happens to the sound.

Also, how come when you set the levels, in the console, and then close and re-load (sometimes) they're all back to default

cheers cakies,

in the track view try setting the values to -1 for volume and for pan. this should allow you to make changes in the console view that will have an effect and should be saved when you resave your project. keith

Also, in the CONSOLE VIEW you can double click on the faders/knobs to make them reset to the position you originally had them set.

Changed those settings to -1 which didn't give me control of the tracks but did stop the volume jumping back to full everytime the track was played back.

Figured out the other problem though. Set the channel to 10 and I got control of volume and pan. Haven't got bloody clue why that works though. 1 to 9 didn't work, 10 does. I wonder if 11 works.

The sliders still won't stay put after I reload though.

Cakewalk, funny program, got a real personality ain't it. Like a naughty kid or something.
