Sequencing with Cubase VST & recording audio with Protools. All suggestions welcome
OK, I'll admit, I like my Cubase VST for sequencing MIDI, but recording audio gets buggy sometimes, like locking up on playback, ect, ect.
As far as a midi sequencer, IMHO, nothing comes close (and I know alot of professional minded people agree).
I have built a dedicated computer for Protools. 1.7 GHZ Duron w/1 GB of RAM. 40 GB HD.
Since Protools doesnt have a great sequencer, plus I dont want to learn a new sequencer, and I have hundreds of songs already done on Cubase for myself and clients, I would like to continue to use my Cubase computer as a sequencer, and sync that computer to the Protools computer for audio.
Is this possible? If so, how would the 2 computers be hooked up?
I dont have the Protools yet, but I'm still deciding on the 001 or 002.
An opinion on the 001 and 002 would be appreciated also.
cheers
