Hi, I use Sonar 2, and am wondering about the programs sequencing capabilities. sorry if the question is redundant, but i haven't been able to find the answer after several searches.
I want to be able to program beats using my own wave samples in the same environment as I record audio- so both aspects are linked, like with the midi sequencer. is this possible in sonar, or will I need another program? right now i use fruity loops but i would prefer something less loop based.- with more possibilities.
any help would be appreciated

You need a (DXi) sampler. If you have Sonar 2 XL you can use the DR-008. :)

And Sonar 2 is a sequenser. A sequenser record MIDI and plays it back. ;)

Don't worry, SONAR is the best... Yeah, I mean it... THE BEST SEQUENCER EVER for MIDI stuff. Moskus was right, all you need is some DXi that sounds wave sample triggered by MIDI you record. DR-008 is one of the best included with SONAR 2 XL version...

Then why do you still use Cakewalk 3? :D :D

Because it wins the same award for different category... ;)

...I heard Cubase also wins the same award for category "designed for dongle head users" :D :D :D

Is it the "James know how to use that program"-category? ;)
