How do I setup a separate hardware profile for audio only?

My old computer is struggling and a lean audio setup will hopefully give it some new life. This computer is used for 1. recording 2. internet and 3. kids CDROM/games.

System:
celelron 333MHz (sad but true!)
256Ram
Windows 98
4G HD 5400 boot drive/programs
60G HD7200 audio drive/wav files

Thanks in advance,

Dara

You can do hardware profiles in Win 98.

How? There's all kinds of documentation on the net about how to do this; look it up. Or any decent book on Windows 98 will tell you. It's pretty easy but I'm not going to recreate the wheel here...:)

It's in the win 98 help file. CLick on start, then help. Look for hardware profiles in the index. It will walk you through the whole process. I did it once, but it's been a while. My recollection is that it was pretty easy.
