Sennheiser MD 412 - Roll Off Question

Hi,

I bought a Senn. MD 421 with the roll off feature. To change the bass roll off you just rotate a little circle on the back of the mic. There are 5 positions. The furthest on one side is marked "S" and the other side is marked "M" with the other three positions just marked with ticks.

What does the "S" and "M" mean? I've looked online and through all of the paperwork that came with the mic and i couldn't find any info. Any help is greatly appreicated.

What Kenny said, actually it's a German mic and it means 'Sprache' and 'Musik' , which is the same.
