Hey guys. I'm selling this locally but I thought I'd try on here as well. I've been a long time reader but haven't really had a reason to use my account here before now. Anyways.. on to the pedal:
I built it from the ground up and it is well put together with expensive parts, and you can hear the quality of it in this video demo of me playing it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAZINpIamiI
It is a solid-state version of a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier amplifier, made to function as a distortion pedal. Instead of tubes it uses JFETs (transistors), and does a really good job at recreating the dynamics of the amp. I gave this pedal more bass than the original by changing 2 cap values. Without it, to my ears it sounds way too trebly, but you can dial in less bass of course because it's on a knob, I just raised the maximum available. It runs on the same supply as a Boss pedal.. 9V center negative, and the jack size is the same as Boss. It also has a 9V battery snap inside if you want to power it that way... and if you unplug the input jack when not using it, the battery stops draining so it'll last a long time.
Knobs are Presence, Treble, Mid, Bass, Volume, Gain. The In/Out/Power jacks are on the top to save space on a pedalboard.
I'm selling it for $300. This pedal is a great addition to any arsenal, and is also a great way to get that Mesa tone without spending thousands. It's painted to look like an old claymore with faded army font. This was built to sell, so mint condition.
