Actually, on further evaluation of the site, it seems like a good idea - I mean the idea of buying and selling tracks on-line that is.
As far as I can tell though, so far there is only one person listing tracks for sale, and in my opinion they aren't that good - especially for the price.
I think something like this would be worthwhile if there were an option for someone to own exclusive rights over a beat (that would obviously cost more), and if a beat were sold this way obviously it wouldn't be available for purchase anymore, also an option where you could buy the beat as a non-exclusive beat and once it were sold this way, the exclusive option wouldn't be available anymore - with the seller of the beat / track choosing what options they want to have available in the first place.
The sound clips is a good idea. It all looks like a good idea actually. It just needs some talented track-makers to show up and raise the bar.
Does anyone know if something like this already exists? Because I run a pro recording studio and I get people all the time that come in looking for good beats and tracks that can't really afford a producer, and I'd love to be able to show them a site like this, only one that had some good stuff on it.
One more thing, in order for something like this to work for me (and maybe this could be an additional option) the individual tracks - not just the stereo master - would have to be available. Perhaps I'll send a copy of this message to the webmaster, seeing as he might never return here due to the unconstructive atmosphere of sarcastic hostility.
