Anyone ever noticed that towards the beginning of the song, a channel/side drops off pretty much completly? yet, no where else in the whole song does it do that..

anyone think it`s at all posible that it was a mistake in the recording/mastering, or would ya say they did it on purpose?

it kinda fits..but on the other hand..I kinda does`nt..LOL..

anyway, just curious what others thought..

That is a typical production technique. It separates the intro, to the verse. Don't hear as much of that these days, but it is very metal of old school.
