Secret Weapon

Well actually it was gone for some time.

When better wireless units came along, the Schaffer’s were scrapped along with it’s mysterious magical circuitry. The tonal benefits were a side effect.

Anyway, Fil from SoloDallas being an avid A/C D/C fan and a very accomplished player as well, found out through research and/or accident that the missing ingredient was the wireless unit. More modern wireless units just didn’t have that sound.

He tracked down ken Schaffer and all the audio circuitry was reverse engineered and replicated.


So thanks to Solo Dallas they’re back. (Have been for a while)

The tower is great but if it’s a bit too rich for ones pocketbook, there’s a pedal version available.

I have two of his units and one is an ‘always on’ pedal on my board.
