The Everly Bros. - "All I Have to Do Is Dream"

The Beatles - "Oh, Darling"

Bruce Springsteen - "Thunder Road"

Radiohead - "Lucky"

that would be "neun und neunzehn luft ballons"

(literally "nine and nine-ten air balloons")

:)

Privately, I cover these in solo piano versions (and they don't sound half bad that way):

The Who - "Overture", "Underture" and "Sparks" from Tommy
Led Zep - "Stairway to Heaven"
REO Speedwagon - "Keep on Loving You"
The Beatles - "Oh, Darling"
Henry Mancini's - "Theme from Romeo and Juliet"
Bryan Adams - "Everything I Do"
The McCoys - "Hang On Sloopy"
Allman Brothers - "Whipping Post" (just kidding..)

Which is Bob Dylan... cool... :)

My Philosophy - Ben Folds Five (occasionally, I'd do this song at a local Open Mike, replacing that funky Gershwin breakdown at the end of the song with some scatting; folks seemed to dig it).
Shake the Disease - Depeche Mode
Kharma Police - Radiohead (I'm still trying to work out the chords for that one)
Bridge Over Troubled Water/The Boxer - Simon and Garfunkel (well, everybody does those, right? :D )

Karma Police -- I believe it's:

Verse: | Am D/F# | Em G | Am F | Em G |

| Am D/F# | G D/F# Em G/D | Am | Bm D |

Chorus: | C D | G F# | C D | G F# |

| C D | G Bm | C | Bm D |

Coda: ||: Bm D | G D | G D | Esus4 E :||

Somebody by Depeche Mode...

...even though I don't really do it secretly, per se.

seems radiohead is a popular one to do in the privacy of your own home...

what arrangement do you guys for just the acoustic if you were covering "just"???
i.e.

i do intro C then slide the C shape up to the other two chords, gives it a nice dissonance....

then for the verse i strum the Am Abm and pick the notes out at the end of the verse...

for the bridge i play the melody lead...

and the chorus strum the C F# F

any thoughts or is this the standard way to play it?

still havent thought of a way to mimic the instrument break just one guitar...
