One Hit Wonder
I'm am having a problem with Cakewalk Pro 9. I can record an audio track fine (e.g., an acoustic guitar). However, when I try to record a second track (e.g., vocal), I can't hear the original guitar track while recording.
If I simply go ahead and record the vocal anyway, it records fine. Upon playback I can hear both the guitar and vocal (completely out of sync with each other of course, since it was recorded blind).
Any ideas? Is this a function of my sound card? I am using a basic Soundblaster card at present. Planning to order a Midiman Delta 1010, but right now just trying to get a feel for using the Cakewalk program.
BTW, I tried to add an audio (vocal) track to one of the demo midi tracks that came with the software, and I could hear the midi fine while recording the vocal. However, it won't do the same for two audio tracks.
