SE electronics Z5600 + FMR Really Nice Preamp

Do yall think this combination will sound good on male Rap vocals?

I heard very good things about the FMR RNP, it's cheap aswell

I have only the Z5600A but not the RNP.
I believe the Z5600A would be fine.
Proper placement, windscreen etc will help.
Of course it all comes down to the artist.
If you have the opportunity, though, try the SE Titan.

...I'd have to say that the Shure SM7 or SM7B would probably be more suited to the genre (IMHO)...I have both mics and the Shure gets the nod more often (especially on Male vocals)...I'm not sure what the output of the FMR pre is, but the SM7 requires at least 65-70 dB for best results...of course, as said many times before, it's always best to try out any vocal mic on a particular voice before making a purchase...renting an SM7 shouldn't be difficult as it's a standard in the recording industry...
