SCSI vs IDE RAID

I want to record 16 (or more) simultaneous tracks directly to my PC's hard drive(s)...single SCSI (Ultra160) or IDE RAID???

Maybe I should have been more specific...

What I am wondering is:

Is an IDE RAID striped setup stable enough to record 16 to 24 tracks simultaneously or would I better off with a SCSI? Has anyone run into any problems using and IDE RAID setup?

I'm leaning toward a high-capacity SCSI drive...anything that I should be aware of either way before I make my final decision?

In short, yes it should be. I expect that a plain old IDE drive (no raid) could likewise do the same, if the system was properly set up.

In short: don't sweat the drive. 7200RPM IDE is all that's required for 24 tracks (and many more).
