cool. brings back some reminiscences of 'the ministery'. this beat asks for big guitars.

You know something faderbug, I think you're right. I put up a remix with bigger guitars. Good stuff, thanks man

Cool, and whacky stuff man!!!! Ministry and Rob Zombie type stuff. Nice and dirty sounding. I'd say, get the guitars a little bigger yet man. This stuff sounds awesome when it's loud and nasty.

Scratch that. I simply opened it in Sonar, and put a multiband on it, and bumped it up a few db, and the guitars sound great, and the drums really started to thump. Very cool tune man. :D
Ed

This reminds me of Robert Plant in the late 80s, I dont know the name of the album.

Its cool, its my kinda thing with the synths. I dig it, I could see adding vox over this. Kinda like a hard-edged Peter Gabriel meets White Zombie thing. Love the synths.

Dogman - Hey thanks Ed. Listening to it again today, maybe I didn't bring up the guits as much as I thought. What multiband did you use? Are you able to post a clip? I've got some $$s leftover for another UAD plug, maybe I should look at their Precision multiband...Thanks again man

DavidK - Are you thinking of Now & Zen? I do have that album. It's funny, I wouldn't have picked that as an influence but who knows. Yeah vox would be good. Maybe if I talk nicely to Ed... :) Thanks for the comments David

Wicked stuff man, I like. Like industrial monster funk grooves.
Yeah I can totally hear Dogman's voice sounding good here.
I could even hear some screaming electric guitar building harmonies later in the song sounding cool here too... (if that even makes sense :) )
Very cool!

Man, that's impressive layering of drums. Really nice. If you raise the guitars really high, I would say this would sound like record label to me. :)

This is really good. All the synths are definitely cool. It goes funk, 80s, 90s, 00s with some guitar sounds, and stays fresh. Nice booms. Not muddy at all. How did you manage that?

Dig the beeps (the tunes) behind the guitars.

Rockin'. :)

Hey man...I used a Buzz comp, a five band. Just one of the presets. I think this had all frequencies set even, so it basicly just made it a bit louder. You could tune it a bit, to really add some punch to the guitar if you wanted.
Here's what I ended up with....Scratch
Where do you buy the UAD plugs? Pretty spendy? I'm not sure I need to spend money on plugs yet, but maybe pretty soon.... :D

Real cool man, right up my alley for sure. I dig the drum tracks, weird scratchy noises make me happy for sure. Guitars are nice and aggressive on top of it giving for a real industrial type feel. Cool synth breaks. No real mix advice everything sounded pretty clean to me. Can't wait to hear this with some vox man, ill keep an eye out for it.

take care
gary

Your description put me off listening -
It was when I read the words of those of good repute that I clicked on...
Dancey party metal - Beastie Boys would enjoy working with this.
I like the little naggy bit two note thing - very of the era/time/genre.
OR it could be backwoods, swamp pervert lyrics - with a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vide...
Fun
Cheers

SnakeDog5050 - Heh there's always room for more screaming guitar. Thanks for the listen Snake

bigbubba - Hey thanks for the nice review. Not sure how I managed to avoid the mud in this one, as I don't think I did much different. Thanks for the ears man, appreciate it

Dogman - Is that Buzz compressor a free plugin? Thanks for the link. I trialled the UAD Limiter on it with a 'Heavy' preset & it squashed it pretty hard.
I've invested in a UAD card, the Flexipak. They really know what they're doing with those plugs. I used some of their presets on your vocal tracks on a couple of our other tunes...highly recommended

gbav - Thanks for your comments Gary. Hopefully Ed will get a chance to do something with it soon, and I'll repost. Cheers man

rayc - Hiya Ray, some good ideas there. Not sure what direction it will take...thanks for checking it out - I'll have to work on my introductions

I really like this...great arrangement and playing!!

I agree with sirN....I kept getting ready to duck for some wild ass headchopping!! :D

This is kinda scarey!!!!

Great sounding recording...really dig the guitar sounds you have gotten on this..evreything sounds crisp and complex and in its own space...I also get a Ministry vibe from it...nice.....

Bull,
Great concept, keep doing those breaks where things change, sounds change, instrument voices, etc.

This sort of thing is right up my alley baby.

Don't add vocals, this tune does not need them.

I like what you have done here.

Sirnothingness - Heh thanks. Bleeding eyes request noted.

true-eurt - Now you're putting the pressure on. I ain't no head cutter. But scary is good. Thanks true

variaxman - Hey thanks for the nice words. I don't think I've heard much Ministry. I always confuse them with Sisters of Mercy. Cheers man

EL34 - Yeah I like it when things change and contrast. Sometimes if I come up with what I think is a cool riff, I'll put it next to a really boring one to exaggerate the contrast. Then I play it to my friends and they say, Well that riff's OK but the rest of it is sh1t. No vox you reckon? I don't do vox myself, and if someone else does them on my tune, it's like a gift. Thanks for the listen El34
