Scored a Deal on an AT4047/SV

AT4047 From eBay

I got lucky last week and scored a mint condition, complete AT4047/SV for $200. It turns out I was the only bidder.

After it arrives next week, I'll get it over the Recording Engineer's studio for some play time, and post results.

The 4050 is a very fine piece of gear, but is beyond my particular needs. I really want a pair of LDC omni. The price of an AT4050 pair is beyond my reach, so I will opt for a pair of Studio Project B3 instead.

For me, the AT4047 is going to be primarily for voice.

i heard lots of good things about the 4050 but enver tested it myself,

naw what's the difference between the 4050 and your 4047 ?

The 47 has a transformer on the output. The iron gives it rounder, darker sound.
