A customer just dropped off the prettiest Schecter I have ever seen. My brother in law has a dark blue Schecter with an awesome vine inlay up the fretboard, I like this one better.

What a great looking guitar. I'll bet the boys at the factory were rather pleased with themselves the day that thing rolled off the assembly line. That's the sort of thing that makes getting up and going to work worth the effort.

Not a schector fan myself but that is indeed a very nice top. Don't like the necks myself.

Wow! Schecters can be really nice. I don't like them, but I'm not denying how good they can be.

This guitar came to life with a little tweaking, I love the neck, slim and fast. It has a push-pull pot on the tone, I cant figure out what it does, it seems to make the treble pickup louder in the up position but it makes the neck pickup louder in the down position. I am going to see if I can find schematics or get an answer from Schecter. One thing I am impressed with is the 100% Faraday Shielding in the control cavity. All my expensive Gibsons have 0% shielding.

The push-pull knob turns the humbuckers into single coils. I have a PT Special that I'm VERY fond of.

I was wondering about coil tapping, but something doesnt seem right. The push pull does the opposite for each coil. And the bridge pickup is hardly affected but the neck pickup has a drastic change. I am waiting for a response from Schecter. Your guitar is also spectacular looking!

PS: Now that I think about it, the shaft on the push pull pot was slightly bent, I wonder if it got damaged. The owner just got the guitar and doesnt know its history.

Seems like a pretty average looking Schecter. They are pretty nice guitars though. Especially some of their higher end stuff. and their top end basses, which are still pretty mid end in price, do a great job.

This is a wiring diagram of my Schecter C1 Plus. The coil tap is likely the same.

This one may better represent the one you're working on.... Schecter C1 Elite

Thanks, I am pretty sure the push/pull pot is shot from damage. I told the customer about it and he didnt seem to care as long as he could get full bridge humbucker. He is going to get a new one and a new bridge (his was a mess) and bring it back at some point.

Speaking of Schector, it's the stupid deal of the day today. I actually dig it, if I had $500 I would probably snag it.

the finish reminds me of those amazing fake gibsons here in the uk,its soooo similair ... so the more i look at it the more i think its a fake ...

yeah ..... I'm not sure why but I don't either.
I actually had that exact model Schecter except mine was more of a wine color.
I tried and tried to like it 'cause it was purty but I never did so i traded it away for something ..... forgot what.

That is how I felt about my FireGlo Rickenbacker 360/12, sold it on ebay the day I got the e-mail from Gibson about the limited run of these: Gibson.com: Gibson 50th Anniversary SG 12-String
