Anyone have a newer model Schecter? I really like the 006s. There aren't any I can lay my hands on around here though.

I've played a few C1s and love them. I was wondering if the 006s played as good.

Do you have one? Do you like it? 6 or 7 string? What color? HB or SC at the neck?

Let me hear ya!

i've got a newer model schecter 006 and i love that baby. i've got the walnut satin. it's looks purple has on of the best finishes i've seen. it's plays great. the 006's definetly play as good as the c-1's. mines a six string. it's got the set bridge not the through the body. i'd tell u somemore if i knew what hd or sc was?
theres nothing bad about this guitar at all so go for it.

Thanks,

I'm really thinking about getting one soon. The price is too good to pass up.

I've seen some with a humbucker at the bridge and a single coil at the neck. I think thats just on the 7 strings though.

I wish they would offer more color options though. There's only 2 colors and its hard to tell what it looks like on the website.

I'm waiting for Guitar Center to call me back with more info.

New guitars rule!

Whoo hooo

i have a 7 string, i love it, but i end up playing my les paul more. dont get me wrong, the 7 string has great sound. really pushes the dual rect i got. i had a marshall avt150h, and i got more noise from my paul then i did the schecter. i would not sell it, and i am thinking about buying a 6 string schecter. so i would get one. i bought mine from musicians friend, never played one, just felt good about it. and it came and i was happy as can be.

Cool

I might order from Musicians Friend instead of buying it from Guitar Center.

Save me some taxes!

I liked the sound and feel of the C1 Schecter but got turned off on the tribal insignia on the 12th fret. I don't belong to no tribe! One cool feature though is the fact that you pull the tone button up and the pick-ups become single coils.

LMAO!

I don't belong to NuMetal so I can't play ANY Schecter. :D

"I don't belong to NuMetal so I can't play ANY Schecter. "

now thats funny.

My buddy just opened a music store and they carry alot of lower line/mid level instruments right now. I was in there yesterday picking up a set of drumsticks. He started making me try all of the different guitars they are caryying. The first guitar he pulled was a Schecter, i don't know what model but the price was somewhere around $400-500. I found it to be very cheap feeling and the sound really wasn't that great. I guess im a little biased though since ive been playing on a 71 custom les paul for the last 4 years. I guess im just trying to say, that I don't understand what the hype with schecter is about.
I can see where the budget 7 string would be appealing to a certain crowd.

I've been playing a '79 Les Paul Custom for a few years now and I dont find it THAT much better than the C1 I played. Its definitely not worth 4 times what the Schecters are going for. Les Pauls are so overpriced. I got mine used for 900. :) That guy is still wishing he wouldnt have gotten rid of it. But I digress.

Maybe the bottom line guitars with bolt on necks are not that good, I havent played those. The C1s that start at about 550, set neck or neck through, are outstanding.

One of two things.

1. Your LesPaul sucks. (the guy treated it bad)

-or-

2. Your LesPaul sucks. (the guy treated it bad)

Go play another one.

well i have to say, that i have owned 3 different les pauls. 2 of them kicked ass and one sucked. for me, i have never played 2 les pauls that really feel the same. i refuse to get rid of the one i have now, it really fits my hands and the feel is perfect. i do like my shceter, but when it comes to les pauls, go t every store in your town and play at least 10 of em to find one that fits you.
