Scene automations screws with my EQ

Whenever I activate the read/write automation feature on one of my tracks, it screws up my mixer EQ. It'll turn off certain bands, or it will constantly adjust the settings. The only way that I am able to stop this is if I turn off the read/write function for that track. COuld someone please help me out here? Am I doing something wrong?
 
Check the automation curves for eq on the arrange page. you may hae accidently altered the eg setting during write enabled recording at some stage and these settings will only be activated when you have the read or write function enabled.

Alternatively check if the eq settings get altered when you try a fresh track.
