here's a little something i've been working on, the only glint of hope in a looong creative slump. i can't make anything. please someone, offer me a little feedback and direction.

thank heavens for you all.

it's about a positive celebration admidst an onslaught of self-destruction.

Like it. Especially the hand claps. Very Cars. Might be able to use some more lyrics. Keep em twisted.

pretty cool.. reminded me of the Cars too.. I agree it could use more lyrics/stuff..

I kept waiting for the intro to end and the sound to get heavier, louder (more drums and bass) but the whole song had the same volume level. Maybe it could benefit from some dynamics, don't know exactly how to explain what I'm saying.

I liked what I heard, bass and drums were tight, good vocals.

Cool tune.

Drums are the weak point. Real drums would help a lot, or better sounding samples as a last resort.

Bass: might benefit from some passing notes from time to time to break up the pattern a little.

Guitars: I like the sound you're getting. Maybe double the main guitar to make it a little fuller.

Keys: Cool... dig it.

after hearing the cars comparisons, i had to listen.....while it doesn't really show in my own music, they are one of my favorite bands...........i can see the comparison music wise, but not voice.....anyhow, nice mellow song.......i like the handclaps, it's a tough thing to add without sounding too cheesy, but i think you pulled it off.........the mix sounds pretty solid......nice job

I love the little drumloop...it's cute. says I. ARRG! I'M A PIRATE!

Cool little song! I like the feel of it. Nice synth chatter. The one note comes in sweeping a little loud on a couple parts.
Nice and spare, I give it a thumbs up.

Hey, real fun tune, jfox. I can envision you going a number of different ways with this one. I like it fine as it is, but I could also picture it a little "beefier". Many of the folks above have mentioned ideas for that (different drums, doubling the guitar, more dynamics, etc.)

I think it's a good sign when a song can stand up, even when you dress it up it different outfits. I could hear this as an acoustic kind of thing even. But the current arrangment has a very cool, homespun appeal, so I have no real complaints.
