Several years ago, I was an avid member of a rather pathetic rock band. At the time I used a sound blaster 16 and its trusty line-in to record the guitar/drums etc.

I've been out of the game for a while, and I'm interested in kitting my computer. What would you suggest I purchase to replace my dodgy old sb16?

M-Audio Audiophile 2496 - $150

It does 24 bit recording at 96KHz, has better AD converters than any Soundblaster, gives better latency numbers/WDM and ASIO driver support.
