SB Audigy 2 to include 24/96 recording

I don't see why people try to even consider anything from Creative when it comes to anything close to professional quality sound cards. They're shit compared to low end Echo or M Audio stuff.

It makes me laugh when people say that they have Cubase SX, and are recording with an Audigy.
 
I would have to agree with Polaris

If you are serious about recording, Creative would be a really dumb way to go... it is a commercial pc sound card that is trying really hard to get what other professional cards have got long time ago.

If you want to do this right, buy ANYTHING that is not Creative, check out what Polaris said, Echo, M-Audio or anyother card that is only made for recording.
 
At $129 I don't see it competing well with the Audiophile, except that they'll probably put out confusing and misleading specs.

A soundblaster is a great card if you spend $30 on it. If you're going to spend > $100 you might as well save that money for something really decent.

Creative still has their heads up their asses.

Read the fine print (again): ASIO support is limited to 16bit/48kHz

What good does the 24bit support do if you are using something like Cubase then?
