Do you honestly think people will be able to let go? I doubt it...they'll be around for a while! 
I don't really have much of a problem using them so I guess they're stayin' with me! But then again 20/20's do sound pretty good.

I have used ns10's every now and then and seem to make some good sounding mix's on them.
I'm not crazy about them and prefer the HD-1 or a KRK
(other then the K. Rok which sounds like cardboard)
but Perhaps you all need some recording help?
And Sound Cracker.......... real pro's (and men) dont use events.......... perhaps you should open your ears a bit.
They are nice monitors for the home recorder but a pro like you ?!?!?.

I used to work at a studio that had them and when they closed down they sold the whole studio to a company in England that buys up studios that collapse
(a sign of these days).
I asked the studio owner if he would sell me the HD-1 but that was the ONLY thing he was taking home.
And so I rent them on big projects.
But look in this photo at the monitors I am using in a session I am doing curently. They are not that bad and the results are quite good. You might consider buying a pair of these instead.

Sorry Shailat... I just can't get into them - if you're used to them, they work fine.... but I could never get used to them....

I too have done good mixes on them, I have done better on others. In a studio, that have a good set of main monitor, they do their job as near fields. As a main mixing monitor in a home studio, only Dougie can pull that off! IMHO

hehe, well just make sure no one sticks pencils through your NS10s cones. Yamaha says that parts will still be availiable for a while, but its just the wood that has come to an end of manufacture.
