SAWPlus32 and dual processor boards?

I've got just a simple question, and can't find a simple answer. I just shelled out some bucks for a dual processor PC, and I want to know if SAWPlus32 will take advantage of both processors. I know there's other software out there that will, but I'm very familiar with SAWPlus32 and prefer to stick with it. However, if it's not going to use every last solder connection on my new mother board maybe not? I went on their website, and all the literature hints at SMP. I emailed IQS and they said I have to go to SAW studio lite or SAW studio to get that capability. Are they just trying to get me to spend more money? Then I searched the web and found a couple sites that said SAWplus32 does use dual processors (SMP). Can anyone give me a definite-straight answer? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance to all who try.
 
It's not up to the SW to take advantage of dual processors, it's up to the OS. Win98 doesn't support dual CPU while NT and 2000 (and Linux and ...) does.

SW can be written to not use dual CPUs but then it's a really crappy piece of SW to start with. I honestly doubt that any flavour of SAW is written like that, unless it's +5 years old. It sounds like either lack of knowledge from the helpdesk at IQS or a snaky way to get you to buy a new version of SAW.

I was poking around with SawStudio awhile back, and although I think its ugly, it sure is kick-ass. It was also expensive as hell, but if you have the clams, I'd go for it. If I had the money to blow, I'd buy it. Otherwise, Sonar takes advantage of dualies to an extent.
 
SAWPlus32 is in fact a few years old. And was developed long before dual processors. No, it doesn't take advantage of dual processing. SAWStudio is their only product that does. There is a lite version of Studio available that is a little more affordable. Studio is an awesome piece of software.

I am new to here, and I have been using saw. Since now I have found people that also use it amongst other programs, how do you feel about saw vs. everything else for tracking?
