Saving multiple mixes in same file

The truth is out there!
Ok, I want to remix a song I did (just volumes and volume automation stuff). I know I can save it as a different file and remix to save the original. But, is there a way I can save multiple mixes in the same file so I don't have to switch between them? I've checked the manual, but I can't find it (it might be there, but I missed it).

Any ideas? If not no biggie, I'll just save it as a separate file and go from there.

Thanks!

Well, in Reaper not. But with SWS extensions you can create snapshots of the mixer (not automation) and recall them. Snapshots are saved in the RPP-file.

Ok thanks. I bought there was an sws extension.

You know what it's called?

Well, it hasn't got a specific name, I think.

Just download SWS extensions from standingwaterstudios.com and install.

When installed, right click somewhere (not anywhere) on the mixer and an "SWS Snapshots" submenu will be available.

awesome thanks.

i just redownloaded the sws extensions. I used to use them then reformatted my computer and never downloaded them again. I didn't really understand what they did, so I only used a couple. I'll dig deeper this time.
