I took some of yalls advice and put logic on my macbook pro, so far its been great, but.....

i'm curious to know if there is a way i can sample some stuff, say a little jazz to throw on a hiphop beat, on logic. i'm aware there a many different programs that would probably be better for sampling such as reason or kontakt, buuut i only have logic!

any help would be great,

thanks in advance!

Are you looking to record or just pull in some files? If you're recording, there's plenty of help around here....if you want to just pull in the files, click the 'Media' button on the top left. It'll pull out a tab so you can use preset samples or pull in a selection of your own..hope this helps

that makes sense. but i guess what i'm asking is is there an NNXT and DrRex like there is in Reason. obviously it probably won't have the same name, but a device kind of like that in logic? for some reason i keep thinking there may be one..

hope you can help, thanks!

Put your sample in the arrange window...chop it up to your desire...opejn a software instrument track and select the esx24...open the esx24 and click edit..drag your chopped samples into the edit window and boom..they will be play ready on your midi device.
