I cannot play keyboards beyond the single finger approach, but need some of these groovey sounds to back up my guitar based stuff. I think I need a sampler, but here's the scoop:
- I would like to record new samples and manipulate them (pitch, effect).
- I would like to rythmically get them in sync with my DR770 drum machine.
- Assigning them to a keyboard where I can get them played back on touch or indeed assigned at differing pitches to the differing keys would be good.
- Anything else understanable that increases my options...
Am I right to aim at a Sampler like the Korg ES1 or the Yamaha SU200 (sampling units) ?
If so are these the best units and which is better (similar price range from what I can see) ? Is the Zoom 224 as good ? (I doubt it)
Sorry for the daft questions, but as I say, I'm a guitar guy trying to push the boat out a bit. Any advice greatly appreciated !
