Anything free generally sucks.

Not always.....the Pipeline stuff is actually quite good! Give it a listen. I've been using the ns kit for about 8 months now. I have versions 3 thru 6, and I have to say that 4 is the best. I'm still thinkin about laying out the cash for the Drumkit From Hell CD, but I haven't been able to bring myself to do it yet,

Pipeline ?? How bout a link
DFH is outstanding....I can vouche for them cause I use em.

The pipeline stuff is linked at the bottom of Gidge's post. They're not bad!! I also recommend the ns kits. Try to find the older versions. They're outstanding. Left and right-hand snare hits, 13 or 14 layers per drum. Excellent if you use velocity-sensitive samplers like the DR-008 in Sonar. The ns kit is also available as a soundfont, but man, it's over 100 mb!! Probably the best ride cymbal I've ever heard. Go fishing, dude! Check 'em out. I spent the better part of 3 years trying to find a good, layered set of samples. You'll find a real good bass guitar soundfont from ns, also. Lemme know what you think.
