Hi, just a quick one:

Anyone know of a PC program that sort of works the way a sampler/turntable would. I know it sounds really strange, but I'd really like to be a able to take a WAV file or whatever and some how scratch it in real time (by swishing the mouse around or something), and do other things a sampler or something would do.... err if you know what I mean. It'd be also nice if it could play into / be recorded by cubase in real time.

Writing it, it sounds strange to me, but it's worth a try!

Cheers

Jim

another question

seeing as I'm here: another question as well as the one above

I'm having a problem with my Soundblaster live 5.01. When attempting to run MIDI synth drums from cubase (you know, the old channel 10 etc way) the drums (in fact everything from the MIDI synth, eg piano whatever) sound incredibly reverby. I've checked the SB mixer settings and the weird EAX control panel and there's no MIDI reverb turned on from what I can see. And there's nothing like that turned on in Cubase . So is it just that the SB sample set for the MIDI synth is full of reverb? Or is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?
