I wouldn't use their online site. I have been to the Store here in Phoenix and it is all run by emo kids armed with the product description.

I was getting a mic and the kid is sitting on the phone talking to the other end about what mic might be better for this or that....excuse me, but I was always taught that the customer IN the store is more important than the one jerking your chain around on the phone....but maybe thats just me. Then the others came around and tried to act liek they knew what I was doing. They are like, "what kind of mic'ing you gonna do. I was like, "its for my cab." they say, "what kind of setup you got." I say, "a THD BiValve."

Conversation over. In over their heads and they knew it.

Well, they're not too bad if you just want to go there and play around with all of the 250+ guitars they have on the walls .

Actually, I've bought a decent amount of stuff there, mainly because they were the only music store within 50 miles of where I lived with a half-decent selection. The prices were usually fair market, and the salespeople were usually incompetent.

As far as the online orders, I ordered some strings and picks and things from them when I was at school and they came to me exceptionally fast (1 or 2 days). Also, I must have done it during some promotional period, because the shipping was free! I guess I just got lucky .

My experience with their online store has been good. Shipments have come quickly for all my orders.

I bought a DeArmond guitar and an MXL V67G from Sam Ash a few years back now - they shipped promptly to Canada via UPS. I felt I received excellent service with both transactions.

I called once to complain and was connected directly to Richard Ash. He told me he prefers to handle all customer complaints personally. I thought that was fairly commendable.
