So, brand new Saffire Pro40...and at the moment am not feeling very encouraged about my purchase.

The Saffire MixControl is giving me the "no hardware connected" message. My DAW (Reaper) acknowledges the Pro 40's existence, and allows me to use it as my audio device (using ASIO drivers), however I am not able to send a signal through. Instead, a constant signal is being sent through (imagine what white noise would look like), yet no sound is coming through to the monitors.

When the pc and the pro 40 are connected and powered, I can hear my instruments through the monitors, but again, that does not register in the DAW (which, as stated about, is showing a weird signal).

If I can remember it all...here are all the steps I have taken to try and fix the problem, to no avail:

- Reboot...over...and over
- Connecting to different ports on both the PC and the Pro40
- Using legacy FireWire drivers (blue screen of death was the result)
- Sacrificing a goat and three virgins
- Ensured that the firewire card does work by using other devices (that are never attached while the Pro 40 is)
- I have no tried another FireWire cable as I do not have one, but the chances of that I think are slim (it's the cable that came with the device)

Please, if anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Below are my specs, as well as a video of the issue on youtube.
