That's pretty clear. I think you're OK. Keep in mind, the ten channels might include auxes or something (you're obviously not going to exceed your inout count), and I can't speak to the quality.

Firewire is just a protocol, it doesn't necessarily imply multitracking.
 
Yeah, firewire has zero to do with how the information is going to organize itself once in Cubase. You could definitely set it to do that, but you'd have the same problem that you'd have with that other alesis mixer that you posted if you attempt to record the band live - instruments bleeding onto other instruments' tracks. They'll both (alesis mixer and this) accomplish the same task.
 
You've posted what's basically the same fucking question in five forums on this board in the last few days.

Just because you phrase it a little differently doesn't make it any less a crosspost.

I was tipped off by seeing that same Phonic mixer in two different forums.

Post once in the most appropriate forum, then have the courtesy and the good sense to wait until someone who knows the answer has the time to post back.
