I've a 25' M/F null modem parallel port cable on order to be used for transferring data from my old PC (used for its Cakewalk sequencer) to a new PC for backing up my music files on CDR. Would it be safe to use this same cable to extend the distance my MOTU (parallel port) Timepiece AV can move? Or do I need a different parallel cable extender?
I think I've read that null modem cables cross wires or something to that effect so I don't wanna try it out only to find that I've blown up my computer and/or timepiece 8in/8out MIDI router!
Any knowledgeable feedback would be greatly appreciated.
