OH MY GOD... OH MY GOD... OH MY GOD!!!

It has arrived and I am speechless. I'll post pictures soon. I must admit, I am beside myself with joy that, for once, I didn't cheap out; I got the "good stuff!"

The quality of workmanship and the beauty of a new specimen in the "trim" I got mine in is a sight to behold. The wife could even detect that this was a special instrument. And I thought my Geddy Lee Jazz was special!!!

I'll share a pic ASAP.

I'm a guitar player, but I plan on getting a Sterling for recording at home. Two years ago when I lived at home, I had the luxury of playing through a multitude of my father's great basses. Now that I'm putting my home(apartment) studio together, I need a good bass to track with.

Buy cheap buy twice is something I've never allowed myself to do. I've seen it happen to friends many times. While the SUB may be a great bass for the price, you can get a used Sterling for the same price as a new SUB. As far as I know, SUB is fairly new, meaning there should be far more used Sterlings out there than SUB Sterlings.

The price difference is definitely for another reason than "just paint." Wood choice and workmanship have a great deal to do with the quality of the instrument, and, in return, its resale value.

I'm going to buy the real thing used, because, if I want to sell it, it will probably be worth what I sold it for if I take good care of it.

I see you bought the real thing. Congrats and enjoy.
