I'm sure that this has probably been asked before, but since I haven't found any responses (perhaps I didn't look enough)...
I'm currently upgrading my recording PC to accomodate more tracks for live recording situations. The focus right now is to have 12 tracks of digital at 96kHz/24 bit open for recording...right now I have an Echo Gina and will be adding a Layla soon as well. What do I need in order to record analog sources through the s/pdif input on the Gina so that I can open up those last two tracks at that sample rate? My main concern here is a balance of quality and cost (i.e. there's no point in me spending as much on opening up two s/pdif tracks as I would on, say, another Layla), so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
