Hello all!

I am about to get a Apogee Mini Me that I plan to connect to my EMU 0404 using their s/pdif input and output. Now, I’ve always had just one USB interface so the digital connection thing is new to me, and I’ve been trying to figure out what cable I need to hook up the s/pdif output of the Mini Me into the s/pdif input of the E-MU and use the Mini Me as the master clock.
I’ve looked online and there seem to be a bunch of kinds of cables and I’m not sure which is the one I got to buy. I’d hate to have the Mini Me all ready to go and find out I got the wrong cable…. Help?!

It's just a S/PDIF cable. RCA connectors, 75 ohms impedance. Hosa makes a rather nice one (it's blue) that's rather cheap.

I use and recommend Apogee Wyde Eye cable for this. They're better because they're purple, and everyone knows purple is better than blue. :D
Actually, the better part is that the connectors used on the Apogee cables have true 75 ohm impedance. A lot of other S/PDIF cables use 75 ohm coax, but the connectors display a lower impedance, like 33 ohms. Not that other cables won't work, but I figure this is a case where you don't buy many S/PDIF cables, usually just one or two, so buy the good ones.

Thanks a lot! Great suggestion, I'll look up the Apogee cables :)

in a pinch you can use typical video composite cables....the yellow cable that you use to plug the video from your DVD player into your TV.
Works for my home theater setup...and it was free (since I always have tons of those sitting around).
