anyone know of this company? the gear seems relativly in expensive, but i'm a bit unsure of the quality....i'm particaltrly interested in there multi effect unit "prism" ....basically i just want to know, how bad is it?
I've seen the website, and I was interested in the 8 channel of mic pres for $500. I haven't heard it, but somebody told me that they sound ok, but are very noisy. I'm kinda cautious with buying stuff like this. Im not saying Aussie made is bad.....cos it definitely isn't, but a company that can afford to put out gear at such cheap prices (behringer for example)....one had to be wary of them. If you want to buy incredible aussie audio gear, check out
The pre's sound incredible, and while they may seem expensive.....compared to equal quality processors and units, these are really dirt cheap. I'm going to get ahold of the $150 mic in the next few months....so I'll let you know how it sounds, but as yet, JLM audio and everything he makes...is pure gold
Watch out for those labels you put on Aussi equipment. The cleanest amp in the world in produced...well down under. While many of us talk about distortion in parts-per-hundred ...there's an amp produced down under whose THD is measured in parts-per-billion! Plus, its packaged in a really neat silver container!
iv'e done a bit of research for anyone that cares, and i think these guys are aussie wholesalers who took on the task of creating their own products.... they also make a condensor mic which is dirt cheap (around the same price as a 58) anyone seen or used one? and i'd still like more info on the "prism" unit
oh yeah link, i could buy a new car with the money i'd spend on a jlm unit....damn i do need a new car, do any of the jlm's come with wheels, four seats, RWC and a years rego? (that last bit might be for aussies only)
