I remember visiting guitar.com a few years ago when it was a crappy site but let you upload songs and stuff. Haven't been there in awhile, but apparently they are back and there is this thing called rype.

Record, edit and produce music. Collaborate with other musicians and create original mashups. Rype feeds you recommended music tracks and bandmates based on your preferences and music profile. Download tracks from other musicians directly into Rype for editing and push project files and mp3's to other Rype users via a peer to peer network. Video, voice or text chat with other members via Skype. Mix songs and post them for sale on iTunes. The proceeds from the sale get divided up amongst all contributors and placed into individual PayPal accounts. Create projects for collaboration and blast them out to the community, or only invite specific Rype users.

I haven't tried it yet just wondering if anyone else has?

Edit: Damn, it says its still in beta. Looks kinda cool though so far...
