Hey this probably has been asked a million times, but anybody out there know where to get the Firepod patch so that 2 can run at once? I've already bought my second firepod...any help?

Nevermind...I got it from a friend who works at Guitar Center. Sweet...Now I have 2 firepods plus my old 2 input m-audio. They all are functional at the same time, I just haven't tested them in a real life situation yet. I hope I don't run into any problems. I have a pentium 4 with over 1 gig in ram and 160 GB hard drive. Plus I'm running 3 plug-ins of Guitar Rig while recording. Anyone out there know of a problem that might occur?

Also, I have the patch obviously, so if anybody needs it, reply to this message.

I know of one. It involves a fireman, a virgin and a Chinese restaurant. Once the fireman goes up the ladder and rescues the virgin, what famous Chinese dish is soooooo delicious it would keep him from climbing back down? This problem has vexed, needled and tortured me for years! Thank you for offering to help with it!

I'm not 100% sure but I thought you could hook up your second firepod in the unused FireWire port of your first pod.

yes but in order for both of them to work, you need to install the newly developed patch from presonus

Right... like a software patch.. I thought you ment a patch like a patch bay, some hardware to hook up two firepods.. my wrong

Could you send me the patch please!

I would like to have the patch too!!! Can i use the FP with another sound card (like the EMU 1212m) with this patch???
Thanks!

No that patch is only for multiple firepods. It's rather simple actually, first it uninstalls your old Firepod, and then reinstalls the newer version that can support multiple firepods. Only thing is, to get it from guitar center, the guy needed my registration information. (like the serial numbers on each firepod) I'd be happy to send you the patch, but now I'm thinking it might only work on my Firepods. Maybe you should start a thread asking if the patch is customized for each firepod or if people can just share it. I really don't know.

Get in touch with me at "hubbawho@sbcglobal.net" if you want me to send you the patch. Like I said, I don't know if it'll work on your computer. Might as well try though, no harm done.

So you have to go to Guitar Center to get the software to use two Firepods at once?

No the patch is nothing more than an updated installation file for the Firepod. Firepod is made by presonus, so you have to get it from them. The reason I had to get it from guitar center was because the patch is only a beta version right now, and isn't released to the public. (It actually does glitch A LOT and needs to be reset, but not enough to ruin the recording process) Their were just a few guys who worked at guitar center who were members of some presonus organization, meaning they were able to get the patch for me. They just took my information and then emailed me the patch on their personal time. So basically, you probably just have to ask around until you find somebody who is part of that Presonus organization. I really don't know the details except that he said he could find it for me, and he did. Maybe if you go to a lot of music stores and ask the employees, you might find somebody who can hook you up as well.
