Royalties Demo Recording & Publisher

I have a question that's been bugging me for quite a while. I'm a songwriter/producer i do not sing on my demos how could i recoup monies from a publisher if i am paying for my own demos should my song be selected??

Do i share the publisher's royalties?? Or do they re-demo it and keep 100% of the publishing??


Does anyone have any experiences in this area i'd like to hear...

It appears some helpful mod has moved it per KC's request, so...

I'm not entirely sure of these things, but you'd get the songwriter's cut, right? And that's separate from the publishers cut.
The demos are just an expense you have to put up with while you market your stuff, but when your song gets picked up, your expenses stop and you just collect residuals.
