Link is at the top of that page.

encoded at 128 kind of fuggered it but I'd still appreciate any feedback on the music and anything that will be useful as I approach the final stages of mixing/mastering.

This was roughly mixed in Cool Edit Pro and quick-mastered with Ozone.

V-Amp for guitar.

Drumkit From Hell for drums (which I know still needs some work)

Bass is also through the v-amp cause I've got nothing else.

Thx.

Like the production alot, guitars sound great. Cant really comment too much on the vocal as its not really my thing, but does sound well engineered.
I agree with the kit maybe needing a little work, certainly the snare - a little flat for me, but a really pro sounding mix none the less.

Cheers
Dee

I have been waiting for you to post again.. A while back you put up a song that had a chorus that went something like, "she can't see her beauty." It is one of my favorite tunes I ever downloaded from here, but I lost it when my computer crashed.. I searched your old threads, but all the links were dead.. Put that song up so I can download it again..

As far as this tune, 'The worlds reflection', the vocals sound too low to me.. I would definitely like to hear them turned up.. the drums dont sound too bad to me, I'm sure the mp3 is the cause of what I would complain about.. Yeah definitely turn up the vocals in the beginning.. they sound at a good volume @3:30.. that's my major beef, otherwise, good tune..

I'not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't find it.

That's odd, trackrat. One other person has had probs.. but for the rest it has worked fine. Not sure what to tell you. But I will be moving it to mp3.com soon anyhow.

Awesome, B. Didn't figure anyone here was that into my stuff. That song you mention is called Shangri-La. I will upload it and post a link here when it's up.

Ok, here it is.

Now this is a great song.. right up my alley! I wont bother saying anything about the mix since I like the tune so much..

O.K., I have to leave at least one complaint, it sounds a bit too crisp in the heavy sections..

a really great song though!

Thanks for posting it again for me..

It will be played for people over here..

yeah I notice that. I've learned quite a bit since then about mixing. so I'll fix it up eventually. thanks!

"Shangri-La"...

Excellent song! can see why sammy likes it :) This sounds a helluva lot like Cranky One's stuff... Vox are cloudy... cymbals don't help, there... Cool otherwise... there's a little bit of everything in it...

"The World's Reflection"... good toon! Much improved in the recording from "Shangri-La"... the reverb is excellent... singing almost sounds like David Bowie (even some KMFDM), doing metal... damn... Sam, did you hear this? Very cool... IMHOP this is just a few notches away from being a pro-sounding job... vox should still come up... synths kick butt... cymbals kind of cover things up still... excellent breakdown w/o drums... way cool... AHA! You're ripping off PINK FLOYD!!! "HAVE A CIGAR!" :p (well, not "ripping off"... paying homage ;))

COOL!!
