Room reflections

what will soon be my control room has some pretty bad reflections in it. A nice 'ping' sound. Im not exactly sure what frequency is dominating, and id like to find out so maybe i can help treat it. I believe the dimensions of the room are 9x6 or somethin (ill break out the tape measurer tomarrow). Anyways, what is one way i could figure out what frequencys are being emphasized and which are being cancelled.

The frequency is determined by the spacing between the two parallel surfaces involved. If you have two walls 10 feet apart, the fundamenatal resonance between them is about 57 Hz. Hand claps won't excite a resonance that low, but they will excite the harmonically related frequencies.

For flutter echo, which is what you described, you don't need to calculate anything. As apl said (thanks, guy!) this is described in detail on my web sites.
