Roland XV-5050 - How do I hook it up?

I'm thinking of buying the XV-5050 (I already have the old XP-50 workstation) and before I do I was wondering:
(1) What do people think of the XV-5050?
(2) How do I hook it up so I use the XP50's keyboard with it?
(3) Are the sounds a massive amount better than my XP50?

Sorry, I'm a guitarist and not au-fait with how modules work.
Setup: XP50 and drum machines into an analogue desk. Recording to ADATs and Sonar2. Thanks chaps (and chapesses).

The xv5050 manual will have instructions for hooking the two synths together via MIDI so you can use the xp50 keyboard to play the module sounds. Its pretty simple.
