Roland VS880 Digital Work Station

I have acquired a Roland VS880 digital work station. I already have a Power Macintosh G3 (beige) and Iomega Zip (100MB disks only).

Roland has various outputs (Scsi, digital, midi and phono outs). Zip has scsi only, G3 has 1 scsi out going to Zip drive and various other holes.

How can I dump digital information from Roland either via Mac onto Zip? Any ideas? All help gratefully received.

Thanks.

A zip drive only records data so your question is immaterial, but when you want to transfer digital audio to your mac you should make sure that the sample rates are the same on your 880 as the software you are using, ie; 44.1 kHz or 48.0 kHz. I usually record and transfer at 48.0 kHz for better quality but you'll have to step down to 44.1 kHz to burn a cd. This is the standard sample rate. Hope this helps.

So just use the SCSI to transfer data to your zip drive for storage purposes and all audio will have to go to your mac for editing and then to a cd or dat.
