I am considering a Roland VS 1880 or an Akai DPS 16. Both have good and bad points.... does anyone out there have an opinion or can offer a suggestion beyond "use your ears" (good advice!!)
It can be very difficult to hear differences in systems when listening to the professionally recorded demos at the store...plus, both the vs 1680 and DPS 12 sound pretty good to me.
