Bring Back Transfat!
I'm thinking about grabbing one of these to use with my C-Port as an interface for faders and transport controls.

I'm tired of using a mouse for these functions and wanted a half ass mixer anyway.

Any ideas one way or the other?

I've got one and they are pretty handy if you use the RBUS port for 8x8 bussing. The pre's are pretty weak and it's a bitch to learn the routing. The effects are pretty decent.

Were you just going to use it for the midi fader control?

Well, if Ntrack acknowledges it, I'd like to use for play/record control and to manipulate the faders.

I'm not to concerned about the pres.

What's RBUS? This unit isn't USB is it?
I might not be able to use it.

No USB. It has SPDIF RCA and Optical as well as analog outs.

The RBUS is the Roland digital multitrack interface. The Studio Pack comes with the card and you can get them from Delta also. The cable is similar to a computer serial cable and will do 8x8 24bit transfer from comp to the VM. It's pretty handy on mixdown for sending tracks to the 2 VM effects processors and keeping it all digital.
