Roland VM-3100 / Digital Outs

The Roland VM-3100 has two built-in digital outputs. One is a S/P DIF connector. The other is a standard digital RCA-type connector.

Can I use these to send a digital signal to a DAT Recorder and digital in on a laptop at the same time? I'm not seeing anything in the owner's manual, but I'm hoping someone out there knows if it's possible.

Try it and see but usually it's either/or on cheaper digital systems. In otherwords only one set of digital outputs will be active at a time but I could be wrong ;)
