hey, does nayone know anything about the Roland Studio Pack Pro, SI-24 mixing control surface that comes with a sound card and a version of logic. Thanks
Dunno coz I have no experience with the Q10.BeatDaddy said:I have been reading about that unit and I would like to know how it compares to the Aardvark Q10?
yes. It has 16 input channels with EQ, panning, gain, etc., and tons of 24bit effects.Does it take the place of an outboard mixer?
Yes. It doens't have compression.Would I still need a compressor?
It's an audio interface for the computer, so you need a computer for recording with a fast hard drive (7200rpm). I strongly suggest to have a dedicated hard drive for the audio recoding coz when you record the files where all the software and operating system is, you might run into problems.Do I still need a hard disk recorder?
