Dammit, Jim, Shut Up!
I ran across this new product in a catalog. It is both a mic modeler and a mic pre modeler. Its stereo. Claims to have letter perfect models of the Focusrite Red 7, Neve 1073, Avalon VT 737SP Tube and the Summit Audio TPA-2000, among others. No, I am not joking. And, its $600.

I realise this is a new piece and maybe nobody is familair with it yet. Also, a red flag goes up in my mind whenever I hear the term modeler these days. Yet, it sure sounds interesting. Anybody hear of this thing or try one? I suspect there will be some talk about this box in the future, if not now.

Just got one and I love it. I dont know if it replaces $10000 in equipment but I think Id be very frustrated to have to go back to NOT having it. Im a relative beginner to recording with a significant amount hearing loss, I was struggling with eq and such and this puppy has helped a bunch. do a search on mmp* partial and see my posts which include a very quick sample and a non mmp sample. you will hear the difference. The sample I put up is with almost NO tweaking of the setting either.

Hey, thanks for that reply! I posted this months ago and thought it was long gone! I'll check out the samples too!
