Roland 880 VXpanded question

Hi everyone, I had a question about this machine. I am absouloutly new to the world of recording but am the bass player in a local band here in Syracuse. I was able to snag this in mint condition with upgraded VS8F-1 card and operating system of 3.20 installed for $130 and couldnt pass it up. Are any of you familiar with this machine? I have found a book on the VS-880 online called "The EM guide to the 880"but wondered if any of you have helpful links or info on setting this up and what the effects card can do? Im not sure the book online coveres the Xpanded model or not. Thanks in advance for any help.
