I know, one is Made in China and the Other in Australia?? But if you own both of those Units let me know your Experience.I Have a TLM103 And i am Looking for A Very, very Different Microphone.I am Thinking About The NTK,MXL V69 ,Or Shure SM7.

I can tell you that the SM7 is different....I havent had but one rode mic and it wasnt very good...and a few versions of the MXL mics some were useful some were not...I can say that the mxl 603s were pretty decent.

The SM7 is my go to for my vocal style...Meloncamp/Springsteen/Seger...etc.

Thanks.By the way how is the KSM44??

i would also say to try a different style mic. you already have a nice LDC so go for the sm7 and see if it suits you. if it doesn't it will be easier to get rid of than the others.

Yeah, and it looks Cheap.

The KSM44 is pretty nice...less forgiving than most...its not a u87 clone...there isnt any harsh hump in the upper mids like all the chinese stuff out there...its alot smoother than them.

.....sm7 ftw

I'm a huge fan of the Rode NTK. Have used as a vocal mic for the past 4 years.

It just always seems to enhance the characteristics of people voices. Not overly valve/tube sounding too. The only thing I don't like is that it has no low frequency roll off.

I have both an NTK and an SM7. They are very different mics, but both can be really great with the right application. The SM7 is a more flexible mic that will sound good for more things. I bought it for high SPL vocals, but I've used it with great success on Snare, Kik, and Bass. The NTK is the only tube mic that I've really liked. Other tube mics I've used were just too fussy and hard to dial in. I've found that the NTK can give much more depth to a weak vocalist.
